Ralitsa Hiteva

Research Fellow Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex

Dr Ralitsa Hiteva is a Research Fellow in infrastructure governance and business models at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex. Ralitsa’s research is focused on infrastructure change and business models innovation to aid sustainability and achieving Net Zero.

Ralitsa’s two recent projects: Connected values and TransPark, in partnership with the BPA, explored opportunities for greater interoperability and coordination between energy, mobility and parking infrastructure in car parks in the UK. 

Ralitsa also leads the Sussex Innovation Forum and is a member of the international Symposium on Next Generation Infrastructure (ISNGI).

Dr Ralitsa Hiteva is a research fellow in Infrastructure Governance at the Science Policy Research Unit at the University of Sussex. Dr Hiteva’s work focuses on business model innovation, governance and regulation, low carbon transition and infrastructure services. Listen to her talk about her work with the BPA and how different types of infrastructure and policies translate into practice. One of the key areas they are focusing on is sustainability and sustainable transitions, and how it can help achieve net-zero by 2050.
