Julian O’Kelly joined the BPA in April 2018, following a varied career in Senior Researcher and Project Management roles with the NHS and Voluntary Sector and is a past research fellow at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, and Queen Mary University of London. His research and insight experience are key to ensuring BPA continue to play a key role in transforming public perceptions of parking. He supports the strategic development of the BPA in matters relating to technology, helping members understand and respond to the opportunities posed by advances in data, apps, integration, shared mobility, payment systems, connected, automated and electric vehicles. He currently has additional responsibilities as Programme Manager for a range of projects related to the TRO Discovery Project, a collaboration between the Department for Transport, GeoPlace, and Ordnance Survey to support the modernisation of our Traffic Regulation Orders System (see https://www.geoplace.co.uk/trodiscovery for more details).
